After our Utah trip (and I mean that literally since we went there before even getting home from the drive), we took the kids to a birthday party at Howarth Park. An 80% chance of rain was in the forecast starting at noon, but we were incredibly lucky it didn't start coming down hard until closer to 4:00pm.
The kids were very cute rocking and sliding together.
Here's sweet Allison spinning the other kids and Oscar tottering the kids
Tyler is such a photogenic little guy!
Here's Allison giving herself tattoos and cuddling with mommy and kitty.
We'd misread the Fred Meyer flyer for Santa Claus's visit, so we made sure to make it there to see the Easter Bunny.
Getting in some good daddy cuddles before Easter
On Easter we went to church first then did Easter baskets later. Tyler colored the egg in school then cut out the center and asked me to give it to the Easter bunny.
Egg hunt cuteness!
The Easter bunny hid the eggs in plain site but made finding their baskets a bit more challenging.
Cute Allison having fun at the museum! It's close to her optometrist, so whenever her glasses need an adjustment I take her down for some fun first.
Playground fun!
Here we are at the YMCA Healthy Kids' Day. We decided to try it at the Everett YMCA this year since we heard they'd have a good obstacle course and bounce house.
Allison recovered from the fear of inflatables she'd had in Utah.
Tyler on the rock climbing wall.
Both kids loved sliding themselves on this part of the course.
Swimming rescue and ball crawl
And cute kids meeting the Aquasox frog
Allison playing at the park and library storytime in her new unicorn cat dress
Here are some cute pictures of Allison at preschool playgroup. Figuring out what to serve for snack for a lesson about letter X was a bit challenging, but I came up with Chex Mix, "xigua," and ex-birthday cake.
Allison and I had a fun day in Marysville going to a park, a trampoline park, and the YMCA.
On the first weekend of May we volunteered at Comcast Cares Day in the morning and went to Wild Waves in the afternoon.
There was no way for me to be useful while trying to keep an eye on the kids, so I took them over to nearby Lions' Park.
We went back around 11 and let the kids play at the event before heading down to Wild Waves. They served delicious, free burritos.
Daddy entertained the kids in line while I went on rides with them whenever I could. Kids' rides have a lot of spinning in them, which I can only handle for so long. I need some ups and downs and drops too.
Silly Tyler trying to give himself as many eyes as possible. The things he builds for me in order to prolong bedtime are impressive.
Bubbles on a beautiful day
Allison reading "Brown Bear, Brown Bear" style at Tyler's school.
Park fun with daddy on a gorgeous day
Oscar made his own ice cream cake and took Tyler to the Father/Son campout on his birthday. We didn't get to eat any of the cake that night since they had to leave early, so we saved it until the Cason family came to visit us on Sunday.
Fry claimed the $50 Oscar received from his grandma.
Oscar and some other coworkers dressed up as Sesame Street characters for chocolate chip cookie day.
Oscar's brother William had a 6 hour layover in Seattle before he started his Alaska cruise, so we picked him up from the airport and took him to breakfast at the Pancake Chef.
Afterwards we went to Fort Dent park in Tukwilla. Allison liked finding a space where she could climb up behind the slides.
Allison had lots of fun swinging while Uncle Willy run underneath her. She kept saying "more running uncle Willy!"
Oscar also had a 7 hour race that day, so we dropped him off at Magnuson Park and came back to pick him up later. They have a great playground there.
Tyler insisted on carrying this project he'd been working on everywhere he went. Then, of course, the wind ruined it.
Oscar won 5th overall and got a trophy for taking 1st place in his division (though only two entered the men under 40 category). He was ready to drop after running a total of 35.42 miles.
Wow, I love all the fun acivities, races, preschool activities and especially the awesome pictures. Love you all so much sweet daughter
